The Power of Love

Image
What does love mean during the Thanksgiving season? “To love is human, the quest for peace, divine." Dr. J The word "love" means different things to different people. The love of a child differs from the love of a pet. The love we have for going to school differs from the love of going to a sporting event. The love we have for eating dinner in a restaurant is different from the love we have from cooking our meals. The love of reading books is the love that transcends generations. The love of reading a novel expands your minds and educates the reader about the world around them.   For Siya, love of reading a book is universal, and in the words of famous reggae singer Bob Marley, it is "One Love." That's the view that Siya has for the world. "One Love," where we all live together and be all right. Imagine living in a world of peace, harmony, no fighting, no wars, and all the children are happy and grow up in a peaceful world. For Si...

The championship moment for Mr. Bloom

“A team is similar to a family. A united family is a winning team.” Dr. J The game had been going on for ninety minutes, and the scoreboard had not changed. There was not a single player on the field who could change the scoreboard. After ninety minutes of a dueling match and another thirty minutes of overtime, there were no goals scored by either team. Our coach had predicted it would come to penalty kicks, but I did not think so because our practices and our mindset showed we would pull it off at the regular time. Off-season During the off-season, our management had spent most of the time, ensuring that we fill gaps in our roster. The administration drafted two top players to fill in gaps, and management also recruited top trainers. They upgraded the training facilities with newer equipment and added a wade pool and two more free weight stations. Our coach also hired two trainers with a specialty in soccer. They considered these doctors the best in the business, and they ...

You may have heard this saying before. "Champions are not born; they are made." What does it take to become a champion, whether in sports, business, or your personal life? To become a champion, you have to have the right mindset. Be in the game, play the game, and get results. No child is born a champion. You have to earn your championship ring. Nothing will be given to you. According to Dwayne Malone, Mr. Universe, " Having the mental strength to get up every day and repeat the same thing over and over. Year after year, month after month, day after day: It truly is that simple." Siya likes sports and want to tell us the story of how she made the team in her first book , " The Siyabonga Stor y."  Click here to see all the Siya series of books and get a copy to share with families and friends.   And the right mentality is a champion's mindset. Every champion is confident in themselves and teammates and is never afraid to tackle a challeng...
